Jesus – who He is and what He has done for us, is central to what we believe and what we do as a church. It is our desire to be a warm, friendly, welcoming church where people can come as they are, with their questions, and journey together with us.
At its core, the gospel is the good news of what Jesus has graciously done for us on the cross so that our sins can be forgiven. We want to keep Jesus and the gospel at the center of all that we do as a church. (1 Cor. 15:1-6)
The Bible is God’s living word. In it we have all that we need for life and godliness. The Bible teaches, rebukes, corrects, and trains us in righteousness. We submit to the full authority, inerrancy, and sufficiency of Scripture. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
Holy Spirit Reliant
As individual believers and as a church, our life is reliant on the work of the Holy Spirit. As He dwells within us, He empowers us to live in this world as God’s people. We desire to be Spirit-reliant in all that we do. (Rom. 8:11-14)
We believe that God answers prayer according to His great plans and purposes. We want to be a church driven by prayer, in that we want to seek God first before doing anything else. (1 Thess. 5:17)
Commitment to the Local Church
We believe that God’s central way in reaching the world with His love and grace is through the local church. We believe in operating as a local church in the area that we are in. (Eph. 3:10)
God centered Worship
God desires true worshipers who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. It is our aim to worship God in Spirit and in truth as a congregation and as individuals. (John 4:23)
The gospel calls us to be light and have a heart for our community. We want to be a church that loves and serves others within our community and cultural context. (Matt. 5:16)
The gospel is good news for all the peoples of the world. We, as a church, want to be missionally global minded. We aim to have a heart for every tribe, tongue, and nation. (Rev. 7:9)
